Nourishing Life-Strengthening the Immune system
Your immune system is like the structure of your home.
If you maintain your property, keep the windows and doors locked and in good condition, and continue maintenance on regular basis, then your house is like a well sealed fortress that can’t be penetrated by rain, snow, wind or a burglar. If you don’t take care of your home, its structure and security becomes compromised and, over time, your home will become run down and require you to make expensive repairs. This is exactly what happens when we run ourselves down and get sick.
Keeping a strong, vital immune system has to do with healthy lifestyle and cultivating a routine that keeps you well nourished, well slept and adequately exercised.
Each one of us requires different things at different times so the trick is to know how to adjust your routines and self care during each season and phase of life. Chinese medicine provides the perfect framework for you to learn how to take much better care of yourself.
Please join me next Wednesday when I will be teaching a class at my office on maintaining a strong immune system with Chinese Medicine. I will be going over how Chinese Medicine principles can help you build and maintain optimal health and immune function. We will go over guidelines provided in the Chinese classical texts for lifestyle and nutrition throughout the year.
